| I am currently working on my new peice, Sistine Chapel. I started painting it on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in 1508. It should be finished around 1512. This is big because just like any other renaissance artist, I blended Christian and Greek ideas. It is also big because I created it to show the Biblical prophet Joel. And it is important because it showed classical influences. Like two young men standing behind joel, instead of angles. | | |
| The renaissance was the rebirth of art and learning. It started around 1300 and ended around 1600 in northener Italy and later spread into Europe. There were a lot of important people involve in the renaissance like Petrach, Boccaccio, and Machiavelli and of course me. I was important because I portrayed the human body in paintings and sculptures. I was influence by classical art, so I created figures that were forceful and heroic, grandeur, and powerful.
